Save the planet. One battery at a time.
We will accept household dry-cell batteries including AA, AAA, C, D & 9-volt alkaline and rechargeable types found in many consumer electronic items like your TV remote control. Simply bring your exhausted batteries to our office at 57 Everett Street in Warren and we’ll take care of the rest.
According to the EPA, Americans purchase more than two-billion household batteries a year to power radios, clocks, toys, computers, power tools, and other home electronics. Most batteries are sent to landfills, potentially leaching into the soil and drinking water. Incineration releases harmful components, such as mercury, into the air. By properly recycling dry-cells we will reduce the amount of batteries that even make it to the landfill.
Please, NO AUTOMOBILE BATTERIES nor other oversized, water-filled, explosive, specialty, lithium, or leaking batteries accepted.
ALL BATTERIES MUST HAVE NON-CONDUCTIVE TAPE APPLIED TO BOTH +/- CONTACTS.
